The subseries consists of employment orders of the Atlanta Urban League Employment Depratment from 1961-1979. The orders relate to businesses in the Atlanta, Georgia, area with whom the League worked to provide employment opportunities for African Americans. The files include employment orders pertaining to Allstate Insurance Company (1961-1973), American Red Cross (1964-1973), Coca-Cola Company (1962-1973), Delta Air Lines (1966-1972), Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (1964-1973), and numerous other companies from both the public and private sectors. The subseries documents the referral process used by the League in its efforts to find employment opportunities for African Americans in Atlanta, Georgia.
